2010 Stuart I. Raskas Outstanding Day School Teacher Award Winner

“Since 1991, the Stuart I. Raskas Award has been given to the day school educator in St. Louis who exemplifies excellence in teaching and conveys a love of learning.

Michael Raileanu, a teacher at Solomon Schechter Day School, is the recipient of this year’s Raskas Award for Outstanding Jewish Day School Teacher.

Michael has taught at the school for 5 years. Michelle Brooks, Director of School Services at CAJE, will present him with the award at the Solomon Schechter Day School graduation ceremony on June 3.

This award is presented every year to a Day School teacher who exemplifies excellence in teaching. The recipient receives a $1,000 grant towards further Jewish educaton.  This grant must be used within two years of award date.”
