About Me

I am a speaker, educator, and storyteller, steeped in Jewish tradition and 21st century humor.

I was born and raised in El Paso, TX and grew up in a family of teachers and dedicated Zionists. I got my first classroom assignment at the age of 15 and have been teaching non-stop ever since. I have held leadership positions in every Jewish educational setting, formal and informal, that can be named. I have spoken before groups ranging from preschoolers and their parents to governmental symposia.

I am married to Lorie, and we have four children ranging from 6 - 15. We have known each other since the age of 15 and have shared an odyssey of 2 countries, 4 states, 15 houses and myriad friends and acquaintances.

I can speak on Jewish spirituality, Dr. Seuss and the teaching of good middot (character traits), and Jewish history. I am available for teacher training, Shabbat Scholar-in-Residence weekends, junior congregation/family services, and special events.
